ALCIDES DA SILVA was born in Uruguay in 1949.

In 1965 he joined the National School of Fine Arts in Montevideo. There he took classes with teachers and Yepes couple until 1974. Participates in several art and antique fairs in Sao Paulo and Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro and Porto Alegre.

In 1975 he settled permanently in Buenos Aires, even painting and participating in several samples.

In 1991 he traveled to Europe and the Middle East to study the old masters and their works.

In 2002 he won the Medal of Honor in 45 spots of the Museum Hall Eduardo Sivori.

While he continued to paint, he specialized in restoration of antiquities, European paintings and antique silverware and Creole.

Today he continues to paint and participate in collective and personal.

Signs his work with Da Silva or Vatutin by period.
